Instagram is no longer just a photo-sharing app??

Instagram is no longer just a photo squaring app??

Yes! According to a recent IGTv by Adam Moserri (head of IG), Instagram’s pushing more video content in the platform.

BUT IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD NOT POST pictures as you were. Use your regular content, but also include new content forms like videos through Reels, IGTV, stories, and live.

It’s been a worry for some creators, small businesses, and creatives. Cause we have used Instagram for sharing photos and admit it cause that perfectly curated grid looks so good, we don’t want to mess with it.

But remember, Instagram has been saying (along with other social media geniuses like Gary Vee, Casey Neistat, and more, your grid look doesn’t REALLY matter). Share what makes you, YOU. Share what makes your brand unique, share what makes your art stand out. Make a quality content post that’s worthy for your following but also still showcases your brand and your values.

I know it’s hard to let go of that beautiful grid. You still can have an aesthetic-looking grid; it’s just a matter of being more creative than usual. More work than you are used to. More time to spend on Instagram - and this is why they want you to. 😁

So yeah, it’s still up to you. Go along with the new suggestions to be favorable with the algorithm or be your awesome self and post whatever you want, whenever you want. However, you want.

Worry if you have to! I did. 😆 But then remember, it’s a change adapting to what most social media users are enjoying. If it aligns with your brand, your target market, and everything that you’re working on, then give it a try. But if you believe it will not be beneficial for you, don’t.

Now, how do you feel about this? How do you use Instagram as a personal account, business, brand?
