Stop buying props!

You don’t always have to buy props.

If you have a product, food, or service business, you might think that you have to get all new props to use for your brand contents. Let me tell you, you don’t.

Unless you are a photographer, a stylist, or a creative director, go for it. But let’s say you have an accessory shop, a salon, a clothing shop, or a coffee shop, you might not know it, but you already have the right props laying around.

Props give your content images more background to a story. It adds interest to your content as long as you use it to make your subject (food/product) stand out. You can even turn them as your main subject!

It could be a piece of clothing you already have; use it as a surface background. Or a scoop you use in your ice cream shop. A pair of pliers you use to make those earrings or your welding shield.

It sounds random, but content props for your brand can be the most unexpected things you already have. Like this coffee bean sack apron used as a surface background, for this ice-cold coffee shot.

You don’t always have to buy! Look around, and you’ll see something you already are using to use as a prop.
