3 reasons to like Instagram (once more).

3 reasons to like Instagram (once more).

You may be over this platform. But as a creative or a small business owner, Instagram is still a great tool for you to share your work, network, and reach an audience - for free.

Here are 3 reasons that could help you like Instagram again.

1. They’re not taking Photo/still form content away from us. They are becoming a multiform content app. Think of it as giving you more tools to get reach. They are adding more variety of ways on how you can showcase your creations/products/services.

2. They’re opening more doors for businesses/creatives. They’re equipping you with tools to help you sell your products/services through the Instagram Shopping tab. Imagine selling straight from your social media page. And they are now beginning to compensate creators, too!

3. More people are on it. I know this doesn’t sound so great. You might say, “that’s why it’s harder to get noticed.” But for a small business like us, this means we can reach more people and find the right audience for our brand. Aim to be seen by the right people you can connect to and who are in the right demographics for your business.

Whether we like it or not, Instagram is going to evolve in ways we cannot control. And if you’re one of many small business owners or creatives leaning to using social media to get reach and brand awareness, we can’t do anything but keep up with it and work a little extra.

But if this app is no longer serving you, don’t force yourself to. Switch to other socials like Pinterest or Twitter. Find what will work best for you.

Also, let us know how you’re doing with Instagram and tell us what you’re feeling about the current effects of the changes in your business accounts.
