Have you ever planned something but it didn’t work out? And in the end, you change the plan to make it work.

That’s always me in producing product and food photos! Sometimes I plan things differently than how the final looks and images appear. I have to change the plan and go with what looks better on camera or totally start from scratch and formulate a new idea.

That’s why we have test shoots and plan out our creative work ahead for our clients. This helps us to have a smooth flow in styling and photographing our subjects. It also allows us to only go with props and colors that our clients need and approved of.

A new background color, a different texture surface, or maybe some needed add-ons like model hands. It depends on what the actual frame’s story may need or what purpose the images represent.

So yeah, photographing food and products is also a “trial and error.” It never is just “one-click” and done, no never. But it’s a beautiful process of creating something that helps a brand stand out.
