It is a known fact for my family and friends that I love throwing parties as much as I love the holidays! So for New Year’s my husband and I decided to ring the New Year in our little apartment!
I was so concerned about having too many people in our tiny space. Making the guests comfortable is on top of my “entertaining guests 101”. Like any good host, you want your guests feeling comfortable, make sure they’re having fun and enjoying the food. Oh food, this department I’m not so much worried about. I tend to prepare a little more than what I’m supposed to so we’re good in that. Plus I think my friends are accustomed to my cooking.
Guests started coming early, was glad everything is ready! I just have to go change into something more appropriate other than my “prepping outfit”. Then there we are! We watched the countdown till the ball dropped, popped some champagne, danced and sing-along with our favorite tunes!
We celebrated our New Year’s with a blast! It was not only fun, it was exciting to be celebrating it with good friends! Our tiny space worked perfectly fine!
Welcoming the New Year with a positive outlook and a bountiful feast was instilled to me since I was a kid. So I made sure to make it a tradition when I finally have my own family. Gerald and I are very much thankful for the past year and this is our way of giving it back and saying hello to the new opportunities coming our way!
